The children in Year 1 stepped back in time for their topic this half term. They found out about Florence Nightingale from the Crimean War through the use of artefacts to explain more about her life in the hospitals at the time.
The children had lots of opportunities to discover more about the hospitals of the past and to undersdtand why the changes were needed.

The children discovered that they had learnt a lot about Florence and were able to tell her lots of things that she had achieved in her life.
The children re-enacted out life in a hospital during the Crimean War.
