Read all about the School Council's visit to London....

School council went to the Houses of Parliament. It was fun. We looked at the House of Lords and the House of Commons. The House of Lords was all red and the House of Commons was all green. There were lots of seats in both houses. We were allowed to pretend being the Prime Minister, but were not allowed to sit on his green bench. We saw the Queens seat ~ it was red and gold and had a footstool; she wasn't allowed to go off the blue carpet in the House of Lords. We rubbed the foot of a statue of Winston Churchill for good luck. We saw lots of different kinds of paintings, one of them of Admiral Nelson. We saw Big Ben.

We went to pizza hut for lunch in a taxi and had pizza, pasta and ice cream for lunch. After lunch we walked to Buckingham  Palace and saw the soldiers outside. We went to Horse Guards Parade and saw soldiers on horses, they weren' meant to talk but they did talk to us!!!!! We saw where the Prime Minister lives at number

10 Downing Street
.
