Africa came to North Farnborough for a week. The children had an exciting week finding out about the African continent, its different countries, animals and traditions...... The display shows the African masks the children created as part of a competition. The end of Multicultural week assembly ~ the children experimented with different tones to represent colurs found on the African continent... Many different animals can be found on the African continent and the children explored using different art materials to reporoduce animal skins |
The children had a go at making African tribal jewellery using 'bits and pieces'

The children worked in mixed year groups and explored creating African tribal jewellery, tasting exotic fruits and experimenting with their weaving skills. | The assembly was a great success and enjoyed by the children, friends and families. Mrs Marsan-Ward led the school in singong some traditional African songs.... |
The children listened to stories from Africa.....
...... it was a great experience for the children from across the school to get to know each other throughout the week. | The children had a go at following some recipes using traditional African ingredients.... how did they taste?......'YUK!' was a good response! |
