Our School

The School and its surroundings

North Farnborough is an infant school maintained by the Education Department of Hampshire County Council. The school can accommodate 180 children in the four to seven year old age group.

The school is the amalgamation of two Victorian buildings joined by a modern hall and library. It has been imaginatively modified over time to provide a versatile and attractive learning environment which is spread over a large site. The original school was built in 1868 and additions have been made to the building at various times. The result is a school with character and history and one which has a special place in the hearts of many Farnborough people.

The building is traditional in design, with seven spacious classrooms and attractive working areas for the children. One of the classroom areas is used as a Computer suite and Music Room. The hall is used for PE, dance, drama, music, assemblies, midday meals and meetings. The school also has two small rooms which are used for working with individual children or small groups away from the classroom setting.
