We are a mainstream infant school catering for children from the age of four to the age of seven. The children work in their chronological age group within a happy and friendly atmosphere. Staff, parents and governors work in partnership to create an environment in which children can develop confidence and produce work of the highest possible standard. We are proud of our high academic standards but are keen to develop each child as an individual.
We were inspected by OFSTED in September 2007and were very pleased with their extremely positive report which stated that North Farnborough Infants is an outstanding school. It confirmed too, that Pupils learn effectively and make good progress because teachers have high expectations of work and behaviour. The standards achieved in the National Tests at Key Stage 1 have consistently been above national averages. Once again in 2007 almost all our children achieved Level 2 or above in all the core subjects. However as a staff we are aware that these tests show achievement in only a part of what we teach within the school. We greatly value true effort and hard work whatever the outcome.
You are most welcome to visit us and see our school at work and I invite you to contact the school to find out when our next new parent tour will take place. This will give you an opportunity to look around our school and see the children in their classrooms. I will be available to talk with you and help with any queries. Visits to the school can be arranged with an opportunity to have a guided tour.
