Book Bags
Book bags need to be sent into school everyday with the Home-School Book. This is a confidential book which the staff use to record your child's reading progress and to pass on specific information to you. Please record how your child is coping at home with the reading books or if you have any concerns.

Meeting with the Class Teacher
We offer all parents a timed appointment with their class teacher every term. For Reception children, we will invite you to discuss how your child has settled and to share with you the initial assessments in the first half term. After that, please make an appointment for the Spring and Summer terms in the Parent Consultative book kept in a drawer in the front entrance. The dates and times are available from the beginning of each term on the newsletter

Concerns
If you have any worries, please talk to the class teacher. We can resolve most things very quickly but do need to know! The best time to do this is after school when you can catch your child's teacher for a chat or ring school to make an appointment - we want to help!

Annual voluntary contributions
In order that we can offer the children a range of activities over the school year we ask for a contribution of £12.50 per child. This covers Book week, theatre workshops, Arts week and design technology projects. More information will be sent to you in September.

Toys
Please do not send in any toys or precious objects from home. Lost items and tussles over personal items causes distress to both the children and the adults! If anything is required, a letter will be sent home.

Helpful Hints
Please ensure that you name all school uniform and PE kit! It is amazing the capacity a young child has for losing their belongings! Even shoes need to be named. It is amazing how many children have the same size feet and have shoes from Clarks!!
Every child is an individual and will make progress at their own rate. We would discourage you from comparing your child with an older sibling or a friend's child.

If you are unsure, please ask! We are all very friendly and here to help you and your child. Back to top
Messages
Messages about doctor's and dentist appointments, or collection at the end of the day by an adult not named on the contact sheet, can be made in the Class message books. A box containing the Class Books is put out on the front step at the beginning of each day and the books are then circulated to the classrooms at registration.
