Book week comes to NFIS

Nicholas Allan ~ author of 'The Queen's Knickers' spent a very enjoyable day in school talking to us about his books and showing us some of his illustrations.

We even had a chance to take part in a competition to design a new pair of knickers...................... prizes were awarded to the most amazing ones!!

We all came to school as different book characters............. can you identify who we came as?

The Puppet man brought an exciting tale to life with the puppets and props he brought ~ he captivated his audience for an hour and had them spellbound ~ a sight not to have been missed!

We read books...... we shared books...... we talked about books....... we brought them to life using puppets............BUT most of all we had FUN with the books!
